De Sutter Might Miss The Olympics

Tom De Sutter might miss this year’s Summer Olympic football. Today marks four months and three weeks after De Sutter’s knee operation. He has already commenced practicing again with his club, Club Brugge K.V. According to Tom, Lieven Maesschalck says De Sutter could get pre-selected to play for the Olympics but he questions whether the move would be reasonable or not. “I don’t think so. It’s probably better if I don’t risk it,” said De Sutter. The Belgian youth coach had this to say:
“Tom is on our list because there is still space on our squad. But considering that he has just finished a long rehabilitation, he shouldn’t theoretically be there.”
